Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

A-Z Flash Fiction Exercise.

A faint sound cries in the abyss of pitt.
Below the gutters and pipes is where he resided.
Crocodiles roam in the city sewers, where none entered.
Deep through the tunnels, a man appears to be sitting behind a desk and typing away information that was inside his head.
Everyone was curious to what the scientist had planned.
Following that day, he submerges with the crocodiles by his side.
Gripping on a cane that seemed to hold his balance.
His legacy ran through his veins after achieving the inevitable of cross mutations between two species.
Innocent lives were sacrificed for this creation.
“Justice! I seek for Justice amongst all the cold blooded animals!” Cries the mad scientist.
“Kneel down your weapons or I will unleash a very lethal and deadly chemical substance in the air where you all will turn into reptiles!”
Living in the suburbs, you rarely witness anything suspicious.
Mary Jane was faithfully watching the news as she watched the people in the city ran away with their fears of what is to come.
Never did anyone believe that such villainous actions were to be sought out to them.
Oscorp had their emergency alarms flaring and the building on lockdown, so that the mad scientist wouldn’t be able to enter the premises.
Peter Parker heard of the mad scientist terrorizing the city and had took off his regular clothes.
Questioning himself if he had the strength to defend the city from the mad scientist.
Revealing his super hero suit that disclosed his identity from the public.
Spider-man was back and he swore to all those he had lost that he will fight and protect his city.
Tourists stayed around taking pictures, not believing what they were seeing.
Underneath the billboard was spider-man shooting his web and climbing up the oscorp.
Villains rarely came around the city especially since Norman Osborn had passed and his son was locked away in prison.
“Where can this lizard breath be?” Spider-man said in his head as he finally reached the top floor.
X-ray films was scattered everywhere in the offices at Oscorps as Spider-man was quietly searching around the building for the mad scientist.
Yelling out of no-where, the mad scientist had attacked spider-man with what it seemed to be a long reptile tail, strangling Spider-man by the neck.
Zebra-tailed lizard freak had the upper hand as he ranted to Spider-man of his diabolical plan for the city…..

to be continued….
