Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

The Lunar Deep

The author described moon, used the bible, the holy book of the Christian religion, consisting of the testament. “my old dad, as his wits weighed anchor, decreed himself a Noah of the still and the dead and went about with a notepad cataloguing stones and stars and other bleak insensate things that they might be redeemed, a Judgement Day, from the final deluge of obscurity.” The author described the occasion of the last Judgement by God at the end of the world.

Second paragraph, the author described, “Sea of Serenity,” he said. “Sea of Tranquility. Seas of Moisture, of islands, of Rain.” The author described moon looks quiet and peaceful. And God creates   Heaven and Earth. Some of neighbors believe Jesus and bible study.

Third paragraph, the author explained how it looked morning the lunar. His dressing-gown means moon light. As he lay one morning in the spread wings of his dressing-gown, the moon frail shirked husk cling, falter, and submit to sheer blue. Next, author described in the winter evening’s moon. The basalt fields that bruised the hang face, the Oceanus and Maria, the Laci and Pali and Sini. Some God name is not familiar. It makes me confuse. “sea of Clouds.  Sea of Crisis.  And that big one. The ocean of Storms.” the author described moon .When his mother prayed to speak to God, he hated his mother. She is a fanatic for the Christ. But author is an atheist. Author believes that God does not exist.
