Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

How to Disassemble Your Father's Ghost (Winter)

This story to me sounded like the narrator was explaining the author how to get rid of a ghost. A father ghost. But was it the father of the narrator? I do not quite know for sure. The narrator seemed to explain every step as if it were happening while he was explaining it. When I saw quotes like having the ghost father's heart being fed to the dog sounded more like the ghost was being destroyed, but having the father ghost ask for this favor sounds off to me. Maybe this spirit wanted to be broken apart in order to move on from where he was trapped.
