Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Not about Liz
Just finish reading "Not about Liz" and wow what an ending! When the writter mentions all the kids with the Ray as the middle name I knew we were talking about a place in the South. The use of the word "looming" when describing the father, makes me feel like he's got something to hide. The ending shocked me because he told me in the beginning that this wasn't about Liz.
