Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Conclusion from Sh'khol

I thought the conclusion was nice when the mother got her son back. And it's true of the saying that children aren't forever but a mother always will be. And the son gets bathed after he is found like nothing had happened. But only this time he is learning to bathe himself alone. For some reason I don't find that the story can give me a prediction of what's going to happen after. I can only guess and make up my own conclusion from there. I'm guessing the boy is going to keep growing and maybe the mother might giver herself more time to teach his son of one specific language that he can understand instead of confusing him with the multiple languages she uses with him in order to guess which language he might understand.
