Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Introduction To Motherlode
Thomas Mcguane did a good job on this introduction, what he did was introduce the two main characters and then did a dramatic opening that pulled in the reader. i personally enjoyed this story normally it takes awhile for someone to get into a story but almost immediately you're drawn into this story. At first i thought it was exciting how hes being kidnapped at gunpoint so i became eager to read more, then i thought it was hilarious how rays behavior was so i was interested in how the stor would turn out.
