Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Jack, July & Sh'khol
These endings were not “similar” in what had happened that we know about nor in what we could imagine what could happen next.  These stories however do both similarly end in a way that leaves us hanging.  To me anyway.  I am a hopeless optimistic when it comes to others.
For Jack, July I don’t want Jack to pick “mineral”.  Mineral probably being Meth for them to “go fast”.  From the outside of this story it is easy to see the fine line between choosing guilt and blaming himself or trying to cope better and move forward in a more productive way in order to live a more positive life.  I want him to eat some food, get a good night’s rest and try to do better tomorrow.

For Sh'khol I want Alan and Rebecca to GET BACK TOGETHER!!!  I want them to rekindle their love with each other because of their mutual love for Tomas.  I know he’s a doofuss and all but he loves her.  Also, I WANT TO KNOW WHERE TOMAS WAS FOR ALL OF THAT TIME HE WAS MISSING FOR FUCKSAKE!!!
