Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

I found Sh'khol a little hard to follow. I'm not entirely sure why either. I don't see it ass a story lacking in anyway, it jus didn't interest me? which aggravated me because it seamed like a great story to tell. It did make me think though, is kind of hard to empathize with a situation I never dreamed of being close too. But it did make me nervous, anxious scared. maybe that is exactly the reaction needed when you begin to feel like a parent that has lost a child.
