Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

The Fugue
The Fugue. I mean it is a difficult piece to read for me. It's convoluted and confussing for me. It took me three days to get pass the third page. His life seems to have lived a terrible life triggered by a variation of disgusting smells. After struggling to get past the third page for the 99th time, I read the author's notes in the back hoping to gain some clarity in this story. But the notes weren't much help with the exception of the author being fatigued when he wrote it, which makes sense. Well I will try for the 100th time to finish this story, might have a quiz on it in class . Ha (I really have to remember to post on Saturday's)
