Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 221 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations BEFORE we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Response to "You'll apologize if you have to"
I enjoyed yet again another short story from TBASS, "You'll apologize if you have to" made me feel as if I was watching one of those cliche boxer movies with a twist. Wallace was mysterious interesting character with some current dilemma that he wasn't handling well. The choice of title was interesting to me. In the end I guess the author wanted to emphasize that the character was taking responsibilities for his actions even though sometimes that doesnt turn out too well. I think it would have been better if Wallace waited to see the man again.
