In this scene Wallace went to "see" his daughter, when he got into a "fight" with his neighbor. Its seems like him and Kim had a long history of problems and that every time he has goes to visit his daughter he has an excuse for everything. It seems like his daughter is a bit shy around him but where Kim says "maybe she can stay the night she likes that" seems like his daughter wants to have a close relationship with her father. i also sense like Kim does still care for Wallace but is drained from his fighting and excuses and mistakes.
I feel like the scene with the wife of the neighbor seemed a bit more of a relief for Wallace because the guy told him he had kids in the house and Wallace felt bad for pushing him in the mud. but the wife told him that her husband was very sensitive and had nothing better to do with his life since he didn't work or do anything. i think he felt like he needed to explain himself to the wife for her to be on his side since no one else was on her side but i think she was already understanding of the situation. Also i feel like the old lady made him question his career as a fighter. she asked him how that line of work is and although he claims to love his job he answered it was awful and than he tried to make an excuse about why he said that . And than when she asks whats that like he compares it to a bad breakup you tell yourself never again but what else is there. so i think he doesn't really like fighting he thinks he does and the only reason he really does fighting is because he feels there is nothing else better for him to do but fight.
